You have reached the place where questions are answered, complaints are registered, and problems are solved. We feel this is the most important page on our site and we're sorry that it's so brief at this point. But much of the content on this page springs from customer interaction and feedback and we haven't had much yet; so we must begin at the beginning. Questions - If you have any questions, just call or e-mail. In the future, we will post a list of frequently asked questions so you can find many answers immediately.


Problems - Rest assured that all of our products are returnable, refundable, replaceable, or anything else you may need should a problem arise. If you have any problems with an order, billing, shipping, or anything at all, just e-mail or call and we'll do whatever is necessary to fix it. I promise.

Browsing Instructions - Right now the site is so small and simple it should be hard to get lost but here are a few tips about getting around.

There are two shopping areas on the site: the Art Pages and the Gift Pages. The Gift Pages are not yet open. There are three information areas: Customer Service, Home, and What's New. These pages along with View Cart are accessible with the buttons at the top of every page as well as text links at the bottom of every page. The text links at the far left of every page will change depending on the page. Sometimes the links at the left are the same as the links at top and bottom; this is just for your browsing convenience. The Port Townsend Art logo will always take you home.

Our goal is to make it easy to get around without making it confusing. Please let us know how we did, we need your feedback about the site.

You will find art images on this site in four sizes: thumbnail (tiny), small, medium and large. You can click on all but the large size to get a better view. Clicking on a thumbnail image will take you to the artist page where the piece is offered. The piece you clicked on will be one in a group of small images. Clicking on a small image will take you to a medium size image with the order buttons for all the products available featuring that piece. Clicking on the medium size image will take you to the large image where you can get your best look at the piece.

Ordering Instructions - As you browse the Art Pages and the Gift Pages you click the add to cart button to add items to your virtual shopping cart. Each time you add something you will automatically be taken to your shopping cart page to see what you've selected so far. You can use the back button on your browser or click on to return to the product page.

If you would like to speed up the shopping process, you can un-check the box that says "Show me my shopping cart every time I order something". Then you can add several items without having to go back and forth to the cart. If you do un-check this box, you must use the "Continue Shopping" button to return to shopping (not the back button on your browser) or the new setting won't work and you will still be taken to your cart every time. When you want to view the contents of your cart, just click on view cart.

On the Shopping Cart page you can:
1. - Adjust the quantity of each item in your cart. If you want to delete an item, just set its quantity to zero.
2. - Choose the proper sales tax option for your location.
3. - Choose shipping options for your order (at this time, all art orders will be sent in the mail).  Be sure to click the button to reflect any changes.
4. - Select payment option.

The billing address must match the address on your credit card statement for the transaction to be approved. If you want your order shipped to a different address, check the "use seperate shipping address" box and you will be able to enter seperate addresses for billing and shipping.

When you are ready to place your order just click on Checkout. You will be taken to the checkout page where you can enter your mailing (billing) address, e-mail address, phone number (optional), a seperate shipping address if needed, and your credit card billing information. All of the checkout portion of the transaction takes place on a secure site with all transmissions of information encrypted for your security. Once you have entered your information, please double check for accuracy and then click onsubmit this order . Only click on the submit button once, the credit card authorization may take a few seconds but be patient. The order is sent to us electronically and you should receive an e-mail order confirmation almost immediately. Most orders will ship within 24 hours and we will notify you by e-mail when your order is shipped. If for any reason your order will delayed by more than two days, we will notify you by e-mail and let you know what the hold-up is. You will then be able to change or cancel your order if you desire.
