Although progress has been slower than I'd hoped, our little web site is coming along.

Here's what's been added in version 2.0:

1. New Home Page - You've probably already seen it. I think the home page has become more appealing.

In addition to the new dash of visual appeal, we've added a "Fresh Art" column to show off our most recent additions and weekly specials for bargain hunters.

2. Improved Site Navigation - We've also added some new ways to click around.

First is the Everybody Gallery in the Art Pages - this is a single page with small pictures of all the art and artists on the site. This page makes a great starting point, but it's a lot to download (first time only), so be patient - especially if you don't have a fast connection.

The second improvement is "Horizontal Navigation" in the Art Pages. Each "gallery page" shows a set of six pictures; each "individual page" shows a single piece. Now "Previous" and "Next" buttons allow you to browse "horizontally" through all of the gallery pages or all of the individual pages without having to go back "up". From Justeen Brown's first to Cliff Wood's last, it's a new way to see them all. It's much easier to figure out than it is to explain. I hope you find it helpful.

3. Collections and Sets - Cards are cheaper by the dozen (or even half dozen.)

Now you get a 16.7% discount (that's 6 for the price of 5) when your order at least six of any card. In addition, each gallery page is offered as a "six pack" at this reduced price. We have also started a new section where we will offer themed collections--grouped by subject, style, medium, color, etc.--at this "set discount" price. Our first collection is the "Infant Edition Sample Set". Our Infant Edition featured 12 sets by 9 artists, so to commemorate these original artists, we created a set featuring one card from each set. It's makes a beautiful variety pack with sentimental value (for us). We hope you like it.

4. Limited Framing now available - Now you can order matted and framed prints, ready to hang.

OK, the selection is limited, but it's a start

5. Free Sample Cards - Now you can "try before you buy".

Maybe we just like to share our art. Or perhaps our imaginary, mostly made-up marketing department has discovered that you are much more likely to purchase cards on-line if you are holding a real one in your hands. Either way, we think it's a good idea. It's free and easy, so you might as well get one.

6. New Links Page - We've added links to a variety of web sites/pages that may be of interest, including:

1. Local Artists' sites
2. About Port Townsend
3. Local Arts Organizations
4. Local Shops / Artisans
5. Big art websites where you can buy prints/posters on-line.

7. Printing Service - Printing pretty pieces of paper is what we do. We would be happy to do it for you too!
