I create imaginative watercolor and inks, illustrating each image with a narrative feel and bold colors. For me painting has been a way to live, to pull life from my soul, liberating and peaceful. I use this energy to create uplifting, dreamy and fun pieces. Art that actually sometimes comes from my dreams and always from my own personal vision. I paint whenever possible, opening myself up to the possibilities of each piece, letting each image develop and create itself, welcoming it's story.
As well as watercolors I sustain myself by painting murals for businesses and individuals. Also by traveling to and selling at farmer's maket, art and craft fairs and commission work. Currently I am working on a children's book portfolio with the intention in the near future to illustrate my first children's book.
I am a member and co-founder of Gallery 9, a North Olympic Artist Co-operative in Port Townsend, WA. where my work is always available. I live in the Victorian seaport of Port Townsend with my 3 year old son Salem who enjoys selling his own handmade dog treats at the market by my side and getting his hands into paint and on his clothes.
Please contact me to talk about buying an original painting, commissioning a personal painting, proposing an illustrating project, or to discuss a mural for your business or home.
